Seattle Mariners vs. Athletics

I'm taking the Athletics +1.5 – they’ve got enough pop to keep the game tight and Seattle’s offense looks about as threatening as a damp towel.

Oakland’s 178 homers and 1,222 hits this season show they can manufacture runs even when the run differential is ugly (641 scored vs. 828 allowed), while the Mariners have only managed 581 runs and have a pitching staff that’s given up 655, so the A’s aren’t likely to be blown out.

Risk? The A’s have given up more runs than they score, so a sudden pitching collapse could widen the gap, but at the current price the upside outweighs that modest danger.
