Prediction: Dallas Stars VS Edmonton Oilers 2025-05-27

The Dallas Stars are staring into the abyss, down 2-1 in the series and facing a must-win Game 4 against the Edmonton Oilers. But don't count them out just yet, folks. With Roope Hintz expected to return to the lineup, the Stars might just have the spark they need to get their offense going again. I mean, it's not like they can get any worse than being outscored 9-1 in the last two games, right?

Jake Oettinger will be between the pipes for the Stars, and he's due for a bounce-back performance after getting shellacked in Game 3. Stuart Skinner, on the other hand, has been solid for the Oilers, but he's not invincible.

The SportsLine Projection Model is leaning towards the Stars to cover the puck line, and I'm inclined to agree. The Stars need this win, and they'll likely come out with a sense of urgency that's been lacking in the last two games.

As for the total, I'm taking the under 6.5 goals. Both goalies have shown they can shut the door when needed, and I expect a more defensive-minded game from both teams.
