Prediction: Indiana Fever VS Washington Mystics 2025-05-28

The Indiana Fever are about to feel the heat without their star player Caitlin Clark, who's out for at least two weeks with a left quad strain. Clark's absence is a huge blow, considering she's averaging 19.0 points, 9.3 assists, and 6.0 rebounds per game.

The Fever will have to rely on Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell to pick up the slack, but it's a tall order against the Washington Mystics. The current odds have the Fever as slight favorites, with a spread of -2.5 at 1.89 (FanDuel) and -3.0 at 1.87 (BetRivers).

However, I'm not buying it. Without Clark, the Fever's offense will likely struggle, and the Mystics will capitalize on the opportunity. My best bet for this matchup is the Washington Mystics +2.5 at 1.93 (FanDuel). The Mystics have a good chance of covering the spread, and possibly even winning outright.

The over/under is set at 159.5, but I'm not confident in either direction. The Fever's offense might stall without Clark, but the Mystics could also try to slow down the pace and exploit the Fever's weaknesses.
