Prediction: Yokohama DeNA BayStars VS Hiroshima Toyo Carp 2025-05-23

The Yokohama DeNA BayStars, featuring the infamous Trevor Bauer, are set to take on the Hiroshima Toyo Carp. Bauer, still trying to prove himself as a top-10 pitcher in the world, has been underwhelming in the Nippon Professional Baseball League with a 3.93 ERA.

The BayStars are currently priced at 1.85 to win, while the Carp are at 1.98, according to DraftKings. The spread is set at 1.5, with the Carp at 1.51 and the BayStars at 2.64. The over/under is 5.5, with the over at 1.95 and the under at 1.87.

Given Bauer's struggles and the BayStars' mediocre performance, I'd recommend taking the Hiroshima Toyo Carp to win at 1.98. The BayStars' inconsistent pitching and lackluster offense make it difficult to trust them, especially against a decent team like the Carp.

Best bet: Hiroshima Toyo Carp to win at 1.98.
