Prop Bets: Chicago Cubs VS Philadelphia Phillies 2026-04-14

Prediction: "Nola's No-Laughing Matter as Cubs Aim to Steal the Show"

The Philadelphia Phillies (-140) may want to bring their own laugh track for this one—because that’s the only sound you’ll hear after their starter, Aaron Nola (6.01 ERA), faces the Chicago Cubs’ lineup. With Nola’s ERA resembling a rollercoaster and the Cubs’ ground-ball pitchers (3.18 team ERA) ready to pounce, this could be a 9.5-run explosion (Over -110) that leaves the Phillies scrambling.

Why the Joke’s on Nola:
- Implied Probability: The Phillies’ moneyline (-140) suggests they’re favored, but Nola’s 6.01 ERA? That’s a 63% chance of a rough night.
- Strikeout Struggles: Nola’s Under 4.5 K’s (-143) is a lock… for bettors, not for Cubs hitters. Expect a sub-5 K game, because why not add insult to injury?
- Cubs’ Underdog Spark: At +120, Chicago’s spread (+1.5 runs) isn’t just a bet—it’s a Hail Mary. But with Bryce Harper (-200 on HR props) and Trea Turner (Over 0.5 HRs -130) in the mix, the Phils might literally hit the cover off the ball.

Prop Pick of the Night:
- Nola’s Earned Runs: Over 2.5 (-140). Because, let’s face it, “Nola” means “no ERA control.”

Final Score Prediction:
Cubs 6, Phillies 5 (Over the 9.5 total). Because nothing says “respect” like betting against a team’s starter who’s literally named Nola.

Place your bets before the “Nola-ganda” begins! 🎲⚾
