Prop Bets: Cincinnati Reds VS New York Mets 2025-07-19

Mets vs. Reds: A Lefty’s Paradise (For the Reds, Not the Mets)
The New York Mets, masters of the .671 OPS vs. left-handed pitching (which is about as effective as a screen door in a hurricane), will face Cincinnati’s Nick Lodolo (2.28 ERA over last 5 starts). Meanwhile, Lodolo’s left-handed magic has the Mets’ offense looking like a broken jukebox.

Odds Breakdown (Implied Probabilities):
- Mets ML: -155 (62% implied)
- Reds ML: +245 (29% implied)
- Total: 8.5 runs (evens). Bet the UNDER—per Sports Illustrated, these teams combined for the statistical equivalent of a spreadsheet audit: boring but safe.

Prop Bets? None here, folks. The player props listed in the wild, wide web? Mostly about Kyle Tucker and Shohei Ohtani. This game’s betting action is straight-up, no frills—like a Mets lineup vs. a lefty in July.

Prediction:
The Mets’ bats will wheeze through Lodolo’s changeup like a toddler on a juice fast. Sean Manaea (solid in his debut) will start for NY, but even his “good day” won’t offset the team’s lefty struggles. Take the UNDER 8.5 (-104)—this game will be quieter than a library, with fewer hits than a toddler’s allowance.

Final Score Prediction: Reds 3, Mets 2. A mercy rule? No. A mercy playbook. Yes.
