Phillies vs. Marlins Prediction: A Fishy Feeling

The Philadelphia Phillies (41-29) are riding a wave of momentum, looking to make it four straight wins against the struggling Miami Marlins (27-41) on Monday. The Phillies are favored to win, and for good reason - they've been on fire, boasting a 36-13 record when playing as moneyline favorites of -124 or shorter this season.

The Marlins, on the other hand, have been, well, a bit of a fishbowl disaster. As underdogs, they've managed to win only 22 of 58 games this season (37.9%). Their pitching staff hasn't helped, sporting a 5.10 ERA that ranks 28th in MLB.

The Phillies' offense has been strong, ranking 10th in MLB with 4.6 runs per game, while their pitching staff has a collective 9.4 K/9, the third-best in MLB.

Prediction:* Phillies 5, Marlins 2. The Phillies' offense will continue to click, while their pitching staff will stifle the Marlins' lineup. Take the Phillies to win and the under 8.5.

The Marlins might put up a fight, but the Phillies are just too strong right now. It's time to take a bite out of the Phillies' momentum - and a slice of that juicy underdog Marlins moneyline, just kidding, go Phillies!
