Cardinals vs. Dodgers: A Slugfest for the Ages (Or at Least a Few Extra Innings)

The St. Louis Cardinals (0.500) and Los Angeles Dodgers are set for a rematch just days after the Cards’ shocking upset. But let’s cut to the chase: this game is a 8.5-run firework waiting to happen. The Dodgers are favored (-150 to -144, depending on your bookie), but the real money’s on the OVER 9 (-110 to -105). Why? Because Miles Mikolas (3.60 ERA in July) vs. Shohei Ohtani’s 38 HRs? It’s a match made in run-festive heaven.

Key Props to Bet Your Grandma’s House On:
- Shohei Ohtani HR Over 0.5 (-164): The two-way god has 38 bombs already. Mikolas? He’s a pitcher, not a HR deterrent.
- Mookie Betts HR Over 0.5 (+270): The Dodger’s golden arm is due for a power surge. Bet it.
- Willson Contreras RBI Over 1.5 (-105): The Cards’ backstop is a RBI machine.

Why the Cards Can Shock Again: Mikolas’ July was rough, but so was his June. The man’s a veteran; he’ll adapt. And the Dodgers’ lineup? They’re not exactly shy about scoring runs.

Final Prediction: This game goes OVER 9 with Ohtani going deep. The Dodgers win, but not before the Cardinals’ offense makes it entertaining. Bet the Over and maybe a Contreras RBI—because why not?

“It’s baseball. It’s August. It’s Ohtani. Of course it’s a circus.” 🏟️🔥
