Prop Bets: Yokohama DeNA BayStars VS Yomiuri Giants 2025-06-29

Trevor Bauer’s Slump: A Comedy of Errors in NPB
Trevor Bauer, the Yokohama DeNA BayStars’ pitcher who’s currently serving up more self-deprecating humor than strikeouts, will face the Yomiuri Giants in a game that’s shaping up to be a punchline. After allowing 19 runs in his last 20⅓ innings and losing four straight starts, Bauer’s ERA might as well be a stand-up comic’s “slump” — painful to watch but oddly entertaining.

The Odds (Because Even Bookmakers Can’t Escape the Laughter):
- Moneyline: Giants at +202 (BayStars at -250, depending on the book).
- Spreads: BayStars are -1.5-run favorites (odds: ~2.65), though that line might as well be a joke ticket given Bauer’s recent play.
- Totals: Over/Under 5.5 runs (prices: 2.15/1.69). Bet the Under if you believe in miracles; bet the Over if you think Bauer’s control issues will turn this into a home-run derby.

Why the Giants Might Win:
Because when your opponent’s ace looks like he’s auditioning for Curb Your Enthusiasm’s next season, you don’t need a masterclass in pitching. The Giants’ lineup, which has a 44% chance of laughing all the way to a win (per the moneyline), just needs to avoid swinging at Bauer’s changeups — or, y’know, any of his pitches.

Prop Bet Pick:
No official player props? That’s probably for the best. No one wants to bet on Bauer’s innings total when he’s been yanked before the 6th inning in his last three starts.

Prediction:
The Giants (+200) will win to remind us that even in NPB, absurd underdogs can capitalize on a pitcher who’s mastered the art of dejection. Bauer? He’ll keep searching for answers… or a comedy agent.

“I didn’t sign up for this!” — Trevor Bauer, 2025 🏏⚾
